Loretta C. McGinley Quinn, 72, a longtime resident of Dunmore, formerly of Ashland, Schuylkill County, died Saturday at Moses Taylor Hospital. She and her husband, Samuel A. Quinn, had celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on Nov. 2.

Born in Ashland, daughter of the late Dominick McGinley and Pearl Skulski Politza, she was a graduate of the Immaculate Heart Academy, Fountain Springs (Schuylkill County), Pa., and was a member or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Dunmore.

Loretta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and aunt whose true joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and being a caregiver to other children.

Also surviving are a daughter, Kelly Ann Quinn; and a son, Sam Quinn, both of Dunmore; a granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth Quinn, Dunmore; a sister, Patricia Stoltz, Wilburton, Columbia County; and a sister-in-law, Kathryn McGinley, Mount Carmel, Pa.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Reese; a sister, Gail A. Madden; and a brother, Thomas McGinley.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, 322 Chestnut St., Dunmore. Interment to follow in Dunmore Cemetery.
