Marsha was born on June 26, 1949 in Crane, Texas to James and Martha Shackelford. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and was a computer programmer. She was a member of the Rainbow Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Bosque River Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jim and Martha Shackelford, and her husband Arley Carter who passed away in 2012.
Marsha is survived by her son: Erik Konrad Walla of Fort Worth, sister: Ronda West and husband Joe of Houston, grandchildren: Megan Walla and Jesse Walla, Erik’s father: Ron Walla of Houston, niece: Kathryn West, nephew: Jim West, stepdaughters: Susan Slocomb, Catherine Shafranek, Jennifer Huggard and numerous cousins.
