Centre East Pubnico: It is with regret that we announce the death of Edgar J. Amiro who died, Tuesday, November 21st at the Yarmouth Hospital, at the age of 82. He was the son of William Amiro of this village and Ozanne Boudreau of Wedgeport.

Mr. Amiro spent 64 years of his life in a wheelchair and owned a small store for fifty years, until he stopped due to a heart attack twelve years ago.

He leaves to mourn his wife Febrenie, five daughters, Mrs.François Amirault (Rosalind), Centre East Pubnico; Mrs. John Forest (Eloise) Sackville; Mrs. Ralph Comeau (Margorie), Fairview; two twins, Mrs. Timothy Belliveau (Sharon) West Pubnico and Shirley at home; two sons, Clarence of Lower East Pubnico and Clifford at home; three brothers, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Oscar and Mr. Ernest (ill) in Kentville; two sisters, Mrs. Henri Amiro (Eleanor) and Sister Hélène at the Meteghan Convent. She was unable to attend the funeral due to illness.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 3:30, Rev. Father Maximin LeBlanc officiated. The pallbearers were Louis Amiro, Paul, John, François Amirault, Alban Amiro and Anselm d'Eon.
