Dorothy Abbott, 94, of Golden, Colorado passed away on August 28, 2016. She was born on February 9, 1922 in Cash, Texas to David Acy and Ruth (Hubbard) Spears. She married T.L. Abbott on July 13, 1945 in Bakersville, California. After graduating from high school Dorothy attended school for bookkeeping. She worked for many years with her husband and his construction company keeping the books as well as managing rental properties.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading and attending the Spear’s family annual reunions.

Dorothy is survived by her children Shirley and Richard Banks, Danny and Karan Abbott; grandchildren Anne and David Waters, Kathleen and John, Patrick Wayne, Denyce, Ryan David and Kelly and 9 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Diane.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:30 am at the Olinger Woods Chapel in Golden, Colorado with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will be private. A reception will follow the service at Wrigley’s Chicago Bar and Grill in Golden, Colorado
