Clarence E. “Shorty” Ball, age 78, of Newport, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Eli and Stella Ball; and brothers, Rooney Ball, Tommy Ball, and Roger Ball.
He is survived by his children, Selena Ball, Duane Ball, and Jetta Ball; ex-spouse, Shelva Ball; sisters, Gerri Henderson, Frankie Large, Polly Trent, and Cricket Laymon; brothers, Hister Ball, Jewel Ball, Larry Ball, and Terry Ball; grandchildren, Destiny Carver, Aaron Stokely, and Jimmy McCullough; also several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Dr. Dan Netherland officiating. Family and friends will meet at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 for the interment.
