He is survived by five children: Janie (Gene) Ridenour of Marseilles; John (Diane) Warner of Montgomery; Fred (Carol D.) Warner of Streator; Don Warner of Streator, and Bonita (Richard) Crews of Pine, AZ; 12 grandchildren: Jerome (Susan) Frederick Fortner, Roy Alton Fortner, H. Andrew (Amy) Fortner, Charles (Stephanie) Warner, Joshua (Aubrielle) Warner, Justin (wife) Warner, Jason (Ashley) Warner, Janelle (Matthew) Brabble, Roger (Kim) Warner, Annessa Warner, Nicholas Warner, Mike Warner, Richard Crews, Jr., Miranda Crews, and step-grandchildren, Robin and Cory; a sister, Dorothy Lewis of Louisville, KY; brother, Roy, Jr. (Francis) Warner of Louisville, KY; and Lela (Everett) Powell of Ohio; many great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
J.S. was preceded in death by two brothers, Ellis (Mary) Warner and Alton Warner, and three sisters, (twins) Arnetta and JoEtta, and Hazel.
