"Shelby Jean Butler, 72, of Columbus, MS, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at The Windsor Place, Columbus, MS.

A Visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2017, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Living Faith Tabernacle Church, Columbus, MS. A Funeral Service will follow Friday, January 27, 2017, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating and Bro. James Gardner assisting. Interment will be in Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Butler was born August 12, 1944, to the late James Early and Effie Nabors Alexander in Columbus, MS. She was formerly employed at Pete’s Restaurant and United Technologies, and she was a postal carrier and a Commercial Dispatch carrier route manager.

Ms. Butler is survived by her husband-William E. Butler, Columbus, MS; sons-George M. (Yvonne) Munford, Columbus, MS and William Shane Butler, Columbus, MS; daughters-Deborah K. (James) Parker and Angelia D. (Darren) Hall, Columbus, MS; stepchildren-Teresa Wyers, Connie Priess, Christine Lewis; grandchildren-Jennifer, Laura, Bubba, Cody, Kaylee, Vicki, Tyler, Dillon, Ashili, and Haley; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Hall, Dalton Munford, Bubba Parker, Shay Pierce, Dillon Butler, Wesley Priess, and Luke Duran"
