Prudence married William Manlove on February 25, 1808 in Guilford County, North Carolina. To this union were born six children; Cynthia (John) Miller, Phoebe (John) Stephens, Jesse, Absalom, Alfred, and William Manlove.

William and Prudence migrated to what is now Posey Township about 1812. After living there a short while, William went to Cincinnati with a team for supplies. While in Cincinnati William contracted the cholera and died on his way home.

After William Manlove died, Prudence married James McConkey, to this union were born three children; Eli McConkey, Sophrona (Reuben) Allen, and Thomas McConkey

Prudence is the daughter of Jesse Cook 1760-1840 and Prudence Cranor 1762-1793.

William Manlove is the son of George Manlove b. Jan. 10, 1754 d. Nov. 5, 1827 and Rachel Dunning d. 1795
