MRS. LOUISE CREWS HOWARD, age 88, of Eastman, GA, died peacefully Friday, January 27, 2017 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, February 2, in Southerland Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her parents Lucile Lawley Crews and Marvin Bishop Crews, her husband of 58 years, Pryor Lewis “P.L.” Howard Jr., as well as her sister, Azile Ellis and brother, William Crews.
She was born in Selma, AL and was a graduate of Selma High School before attending the University of Alabama. Louise had lived in Dodge County since 1955 and was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church and the Hope Sunday School Class. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed hosting and entertaining guests and was a well known cook. She had many hobbies including playing bridge with her many friends and gardening.
The family would like to thank Louise’s caretakers, who allowed our mother to live out her life in her home with grace and dignity.
The family will receive friends at 1:30PM in Southerland Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to The Bridges of Hope in Chauncey, Chester Lions Club, or a charity of your choice.
