On January 26th, 2017, Julie Annette Williamson went home to see her Lord, after fighting a long and valiant battle with brain cancer. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, January, 26th, 1941, Annette moved to the St. Petersburg area at the age of thirteen. She quickly found her niche in local beauty pageants, earning the titles of Sun Goddess, Orange Bowl Princess, and Miss Florida. In addition, she studied elementary education at the University of Florida, leading to a career as a loved and respected 1st grade teacher at Plumb Elementary School in Clearwater. However, the love of her life was her husband, Bill. Their 53 year marriage was based on a mutual love for Christ, their family, and one another. Annette modeled a life dedicated to others, while exhibiting countless examples of faith, courage, dignity, kindness, and a fierce loyalty to friends and family. Although her family will miss their wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now healed, with her Savior, and those who’ve gone on before her. This hope sustains us, until we too, are united with her.

Annette is survived by her husband, Bill, and their children, Julie Williamson Salva and son-in-law, Mark, Randy Williamson and daughter-in-law, Amy; her 5 grandchildren, Matthew Salva, Abby Williamson, Grace Williamson, Ben Williamson, and Jake Williamson; her brother, Don Baker and sister-in-law, Myrta, brother-in-law, Gary and sister-in-law, Ann, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. Appreciation is also expressed to Suncoast Hospice for their assistance and compassion, and to caregiver, Krissy King, for her extraordinary dedication, kindness, and loyalty to Annette during the last several months of her life.

A Celebration of Life service was held at Calvary Church, Annette’s church home for over 50 years, on Saturday, January 28th, at 1:00. Online condolences could be expressed at www.sylvanabbey.com.
