He started working on cars at the age of 15 after school at Sellars Paint and Body Shop in Summerville. He was a youth hockey player and played for the Fort Dorchester High School Hockey Team. Michael was also a player in the adult hockey league at the Carolina Ice Palace. In high school Michael played football at Fort Dorchester and in his earlier years he was a stick boy for the South Carolina Stingrays. Michael enjoyed motorcycles, trucks, and hockey and he was happiest around family, friends and working on cars.

Michael Thomas "Woody" Woodrum, 30 of Summerville, SC, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 3, 2016. Michael was born in Charleston, South Carolina on October 29,1985 a son of Patricia Elaine Woodrum and the late Thomas William Woodrum.

Michael is survived by his fiancée Kristina Marie Lewis and two step-daughters Rileigh Nicole Bunch and Paisley Elizabeth Lewis. His siblings Tamara Woodrum Fabre (Willie), Theresa Woodrum Runyon, Thomas William Woodrum II, and Ronald Reid (Jennifer). His nephew Glenn "Boomer" Martin Coleman II (Elizabeth), niece Allyson Elaine Coleman, nephew William Lee Runyon IV, and his English-American Bulldog Ted all of Summerville.

Burial Service will follow for Michael and his father, Thomas William Woodrum who passed on July 28, 2016, at Parks Cemetery in Summerville.
