Johnny S. Barnes, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2015 after a long illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Burnet, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First United Methodist Church.
Johnny was a professional musician until 1965 and then went to work for IBM. He retired after 35 years to travel. He is survived by Nell Barnes, his wife and high school sweetheart of 58 years, his daughter Sandi Spakes and son David Barnes. Johnny is also survived by his five grandchildren, Ryan, Kory, Dakotah and his wife Jenny, Kellie and her husband Darryl, Bonnie and her husband Michael. Also his great grandchildren including Christian, Cade, Rylee, Brodie, Audrey, Jase and Scarlett. Johnny is proceeded in death by his father, mother and three brothers.
