According to The Hagey Families in America by King Albert Hagey and William Anderson Hagey (p.138), land was set aside on Martin Hagey's plantation 'Fairview' for a graveyard where Martin and many of his descendants are buried.

The authors give the inscription on Martin's tombstone as:

Departed This Life
January 1, 1812
Aged 75 Yrs 11 Mos. 17 Days

This cemetery is called the Old Hagy Cemetery to distinguish it from another Hagy cemetery in Washington Co., VA.
