Mrs Carrie Blice, 63, died of injuries, at South Side Hospital, after being struck by a car on Oak Hill Ave. Mrs Blice had been visiting her husband, who was hospitalized, with a heart ailment. She was walking across Oak HIll, across from the Emergency Entrance, in the crosswalk, when she was struck by a car.

Mrs Blice was born Oct 8, 1911, in Hopkinsville, KY., a daughter of William and Carrie Johnson Jackson, coming to Youngstown in 1944, and was a member of Pilgrim Collegiate Church. She was also the organist for the Sunday school and taught Ladies' Bible Class.

Beside her husband, Thomas, whom she married in 1943, she leaves two daughters, Mrs Shirley Anne Schaab and Miss Karen Elizabeth Blice, of Youngstown; a son, Dan Thomas of Syracuse, N.Y.; two brothers, David Jackson of Nashville, TN. and Thomas Jackson of Hopkinsville; a sister, Mrs Mary Stewart of Colorado Springs and four grandchildren.
