She was born March 7, 1925, in Pitman, a daughter of the late Fred and Minnie (Hepler) Yoder. On June 22, 1945, she married Edward C. Fisher, who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2014.
Thelma was a graduate of Tri Valley High School.
She had been employed by Westinghouse in Sunbury and Maryland. When the couple lived in Kentucky, she worked in airline catering and at a travel agency.
She was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove.
Thelma enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, and lately doing word find puzzles. Family was the most important facet of her life. She was totally dedicated to her husband. Her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane L. Snyder, of West Chester; one granddaughter, Denise C. Phipps, of West Chester; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Cheyney and fiance, Aryn Doll, Cody Cheyney, and Samantha Phipps; and one sister, Louella Conrad, of Williamsport.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, John E. Snyder; and son-in-law, Phares Dean Snyder; one sister, Elva Hoch; and two brothers, Abner and Claude Yoder.
Friends and family will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 2, with the Rev. Robert P. Doll officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
