1938 - 2017
Beloved wife and mother passed away on January 11, 2017 at home surrounded by family.
Elsie was born August 19, 1938 to ranchers Wesley and Violet McPherson in Eagle, Idaho. She married Robert J. Hanson on June 6, 1956. They were happily married for over 60 years.
Elsie was born and raised on a cattle ranch. She and Bob raised cattle most of her life with the help of their son Paul. In 1976 they converted their herd to Beefalo and Elsie was well respected in the Beefalo community for her knowledge and ability to judge good cattle.
She is survived by her husband Bob; children Scott, Roberta, Paul and Paula; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her sister Ellen and numerous relatives.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and nurses at Mountain States Tumor Institute and Hospice that took care of mom. Her family suggests donations in her memory to the charity of your choice . There will be no services per Elsie's wishes.
