Second son of Roger Wentworth, esquire, of Nettlestead.

Henry Wentworth, esquire, of Codham Hall, Essex, was married twice. First, to Elizabeth, daughter and heir of Henry Howard (second son of Sir John Howard) by his wife Mary, daughter of Sir Henry Hussey of Sussex. By her he was the father of Sir Roger Wentworth (d. 1539), sheriff of Essex and Hertfordshire. Second, to Joan, daughter of Robert Fitz Simon of North Shoebury, Essex, by his wife Katherine, daughter of Robert Manfield.Born and married at Codham Hall.
