Dale was born September 24, 1946 in Old Hickory, Tennessee. He graduated from Kenmore High School, class of 1965. Dale was involved in Little League baseball and was a Summit County umpire in the 70's and 80's. He loved fishing and swapping fish stories with his fishing buddies, and was Angler of the Year 2016 for the Turkeyfoot Bass Club. Dale loved his job as a building maintenance worker for the City of Akron and had many friends he enjoyed seeing there.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
Mildred and Clarence McPherson; and brother, Ronald. Dale leaves to mourn him, his wife of 50 years, Carol; sons, Dale (Amy) McPherson and Douglas McPherson; daughters, Christine (Kirk) Lambert and Carrie (Christopher) Henderson; sister, Sandra (Larry) Auge; eight adored grandchildren; three loving great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at Rolling Acres Alliance Church (2500 Kingsport Way, Akron) on January 21, 2017. The family will receive friends and family from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a brief service to begin at 3 p.m. Pastor Mike Brillhart officiating. (ADAMS MASON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 330-535-9186)
