Obituary for Patricia M. Jackman

Patricia M. Jackman died peacefully January 24, 2017. She was 84 years old. Pat was born May 3, 1932 in Detroit to Margaret (nee Herringer) and James McDonnell.

A long-time resident of Grosse Pointe Park, Pat had relocated to the Birmingham area several years ago to be closer to her children. She was an avid entertainer and enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family. Throughout her life, Pat enjoyed singing, playing cards and spending time at her summer home in Lexington. She was a warm, generous and deeply spiritual woman who was able to make friends wherever she traveled. Pat enjoyed being closely involved with her grandchildren and attended their many sporting events as a devoted spectator.

Pat is preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul β€œRay”, and missed him each day of her remaining years. A loving mother of three and cherished grandmother of nine, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Patricia is survived by her children, Mary Pat (Mark) Kaleth, Judi (Mike) Meininger, and Paul Jackman and grandchildren, Katie, Robbie, and Caroline Kaleth, Matt, Drew, and Chris Meininger, and Lucas, Logan, and Declan Jackman.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday, January 27th, 3-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church, 630 Harmon, Birmingham, Saturday, January 28th at 12 noon. Friends may visit at church beginning at 11am.
