She was born March 5, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Clark Raymond and Joan Cleofa Lesniewski DeRudder. She married Jay Paul in Canton, Illinois. They later divorced.
She is survived by her special friend of over 20 years, Kenny Sullivan of Macomb, Illinois; two daughters, Elizabeth (Nick) Kluever of Monmouth and Melissa Jones of Avon, Illinois; her brother, Raymond C. DeRudder of Bushnell, Illinois; two sisters, Ruth A. Smith of Abingdon, Illinois and Joan C. (Victor) Eckstein of Elgin, Illinois; her granddaughter, Lauren Kluever and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jay Daniel Paul, Jr. in 1992 and her brother, Joseph M. DeRudder.
Her true joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Lauren. Susan was a homemaker and caregiver for her mother and her brother. She enjoyed her scratch off bingo card and going to the casino boat and watching Law and Order SVU.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00pm Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 pm Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial fund at a later date.
