Charlie A. Foster 86, of Henry passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2017 at the Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount. He was born in Henry County on December 4, 1930 the son of the late Samuel Grover Foster and the late Mary Elva Dodson Foster. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Sally Foster, brothers Jack, Tom and George Foster, sisters Mammie Bowman, Violet Stultz, Ocie Stultz, Doretha Brumfield, Josie Foddrell and Shirley Collins. The family would like to thank Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital for all acts of kindness shown to the family,

Charlie worked for Prillaman and Pace for over 40 years and was Co – Owner of Sally Seafood Restaurant along with his wife Sally. Surviving two daughters and sons – in – law, Tammy Franklin and husband Kenny, Melissa Thompson and husband Bruce, four grandchildren; Beth Howell, Franny Wright, Megan Thompson and Matthew Thompson, two great grandchildren; Joseph Howell and Emma Wright. Charlie is also survived by two sisters and brother – in - law, Alice Carter and Linda Carter and husband Doran. A graveside service to celebrate Charlie life will be conducted Saturday January 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Foster family Cemetery off North Daniels Creek Road on Hidden Valley Drive.
