Judith "Judy" B. Barton of Perkinsville, VT died peacefully at her home on August 28, 2011. She was born Oct. 29, 1931, in Springfield, VT; the daughter of Edward and Arlene Boyle.

She was married for more than 60 years to Tylar "Clyde" Barton. Along with her husband, she owned Vermont Soapstone Co. in Perkinsville.

She loved her family, friends, animals, bowling, gardening, and participating in many state and community organizations.

Survivors include her husband, Tylar "Clyde" Barton of Perkinsville; two daughters, Diane Sanford of Springfield, and Maureen Shattuck of Perkinsville; two granddaughters, Jessica Landon and Kristina Hughes; a great-grandson, Colby Darrell; two sisters, Janice Krabach and Jean Rutkowski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and a grandson, Chad Sanford.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the family home in Perkinsville, VT.
