He married Mary Thompson, 25 Sept 1798, Warren County, Tennessee. They were members of the Baptist church and the Rev. John Hightower preformed the ceremony.
He appeared on the 1800/1801 tax list of Warren County, Kentucky, but is in Smith (now DeKalb) County, Tennessee, by December 1801.
In 1814 he served in the War of 1812 from Franklin County, Tennessee, and is in the 1830 census of that county with an apparent wife and daughter or grand-daughter.
He died probably between 1830 and 1840 in Franklin County as this is the last record we have of him.
