He was born Aug. 12, 1942 in Danville, a son of William Walter and Pearl Ruby Louise (Wright) Moore. He married Karen Lee Stevens Nov. 12, 1960 in Danville and she preceded him in death Jan. 2, 2009.
He is survived by his children, Lorie (Mark) Gardner, Kenneth D. Moore, Christine L. VanDuyn and Amber L. (Eric) Black; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Moore; a sister, Pat (Tex) Wynn; a brother, James (Nancy) Moore; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Orville Rex Moore, Jr.; two great-grandchildren and 10 siblings.
Orville was retired from Danville Sanitary District. He enjoyed fishing and playing Bingo and spending time with his grandchildren.
