Sandra K. Matthews, 80, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s care, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.

Sandra was born April 17, 1936 in Springfield, MA. She was the daughter of the late Guy S. and Miriam D. (Sheafer) Wildasin. She was the loving wife of John R. “Bob” Matthews with whom she shared thirty-one years of marriage.

Sandra was a member of Hanover Community Church. Sandra worked for All-State Insurance, was a hostess at the former Mark Stevens, was a bridal consultant at the former Gloria Shop and retired from Jeannette Jewelers.

Sandra loved her garden and took great pride in the flowers as well as the vegetables she grew. She enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed being with her family

In addition to her loving husband, Bob, Sandra is survived by her sons, Jeffrey L. Kiick and wife Judy of Hanover, PA, Gregory S. Kiick and wife Kim of Hanover, PA; J. Robert Matthews, Jr. and wife Sherry of Hanover, PA, Joseph M. Matthews and wife Melanie of Winston Salem, NC, and Richard A. Matthews and wife Stephanie of Catonsville, MD, 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and one brother, F. Tecumseh Wildasin of Farmington, MI. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Todd Wildasin, William Wildasin, and G. Sherman Wildasin, and one sister, Diane Wintersteen.

Following a funeral service to celebrate and remember Sandra with Rev. Scott Brown officiating, burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
