Villa Rica man dies after fire at home
Donna Williams/Times-Georgian Jan 25, 2017
A 66-year-old man died Wednesday following a fire in the bedroom of a Villa Rica home.
A resident of the Waterford subdivision in Villa Rica noticed smoke coming from a neighbor’s house as she drove by Wednesday morning. At first glance, she thought it was a chimney fire, then quickly realized it was more than that. She pulled into the neighbor’s drive and called 911 at 9:46 a.m. She attempted to get someone to the door but was unable to do so.
