Carl Howard “Jake” Steele, age 86, entered the gates of Heaven on February 3, 2016 with his loving family by his side.

A Centralite and life-long resident of Fountain City, Jake was a humble servant of the Lord, witness to so many, and a true Christ-follower! Some of his ministries included: Prison Chaplain, companion to the elderly, and “Big Brother”. He supported many other Christian organizations throughout his time on earth.

Jake served our country in the Korean War as a US Navy Specialist in Communications. He later retired from South Central Bell where he committed much of his life as a General Manager for Corporate Affairs. His family will remember, steelephoto copy 4 among many thing, him to be a loyal, devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

The family is celebrating his life privately as he requested.
