Glendale L. Connors, 91 of Decatur, passed away at Decatur Memorial Hospital on
January 23, 2017.
Funeral service to celebrate Glendale’s life will be 10:00 am. Friday, January 27, 2017
at Pilgrim Holiness Church located at 2625 East Prairie Decatur, IL. 62521. Visitation
will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. also at the church. Burial will be in Macon
County Memorial Park Decatur. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge
of the arrangements.
She was born at home to William and Clydia Shockley. She married her best
friend, Elmer in April 1947. During WWII she worked at Houdaille-Hershey making
components for the atomic bomb. She was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church where she taught
the preschool Sunday School Class for many years.
She is survived by her 8 children, 28 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren
and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, sister, 1 grandchild, and
1 great grandchild.
