Born January 19, 1928 in Arendtsville, he was the son of the late Clyde A. & Anna V. (Stover) Allison. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn K. (Kuhn) Allison.
A lifelong resident of Arendtsville, Bob graduated from the Arendtsville Vocational School in 1946 where he was a skilled basketball and baseball player. He worked at Bushman’s Market in Arendtsville and later was employed by the Letterkenny Ordnance Depot in Chambersburg, PA for 37 years until his retirement in 1988. Bob was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arendtsville, the Arendtsville Fire Co. and A.A.R.P.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Richard N. Allison of Lancaster, PA and ten nieces and nephews; Timothy Ryan Kuhn, Mary Anna Dubbs, Judith Allison Boyd, Robert G. Allison, James Stover Allison, Cindy Lee Lawver, Bud Allen Kuhn, Dawn Renee Black, Diane Ziegler Fox and Robert Charles Ziegler.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arendtsville with Pastor Ben Siebert, officiating.
