Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas and Clifford Clifton Jr., and two sisters Vivian Bolin and Sharon Clifton.
Survivors include his wife, the former Carolyn Sue Hardin; three sons, Michael Yarbrough and James Clifton (Tina), both of New Salisbury, and Randy Yarbrough (Mandy) of Greenville; a daughter, Karen Arms (Walter) of New Salisbury; a brother, George Ricky Clifton of Corydon; two sisters, Shirley Alcorn of New Salisbury and Jacqueline Dutawski of Bloomington; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
