AGED WOMAN IS SUMMONED HOME

Mrs. Roxanna Shephard Dies This Morning - No Near Relatives Living.

Mrs. Roxanna Shepard, widow of the late Simon Shepard, died at ten o'clock this morning at her home number 507 west High street. She had been in failing health for a number of months, suffering from ailments peculiar to advanced age. She was in her 85th year.
While there were two families living in her house, Mrs. Shephard had no near relatives near her. She is understood to have two sisters living in Texas but their own advanced age made it impossible for them to be with her in her last sickness.
Mrs. Shephard had lived in Piqua many years. She was a faithful member of the Green street M. E. church and all her life had been
an exemplary Christian woman. The members of the Greene street congregation and her friends among her neighbors cared for her during her sickness and attended her at her death.
No arrangements for the funeral have been made.
