Christina Marie Chambers -- Christina Marie Chambers, 24, of Millsboro, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Seaford, she was the daughter of Mark Chambers of Laurel and Crystal and Norman Charnock of Millsboro. Christina was a graduate of Laurel High School, Class of 2011. She had attended Delaware State University for two years to study education. She loved to read and she loved children. This combination inspired her to study early childhood education in the hopes that one day she would become an elementary school teacher. Christina is survived by her parents, Mark Chambers, Crystal Charnock and Norman Charnock; her brother, Eric Shields; her sisters, Heather Chambers and Amber Chambers; her fianc←, Timothy Timmons, whom she was with for over three years; her maternal grandmother, Barbara Dennis; her niece, Nyia Lopez; her nephew, Eric Shields Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Christina was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Dennis and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Martha Chambers. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West St., Laurel, where a viewing will be held from noon to 2.
