Mr. Burton A. Froton, age 83, of Wilmington, died November 11, 1990 at Tewksbury Hospital.
Born in Wilmington, the son of the late John and Maira (Surrette) Froton, he was a life long resident of the town and prior to retirement was employed as a switchman for the Boston & Maine Railroad.
Mr. Froton is survived by his beloved wife Mary H. (Walsh), his children, Burton D., Ronald F., and Fred F. all of Ca.; Richard W. of Wilmington, Mrs. Lawrence (Dorothea M.) Holmes of Newfield, Me., Shirley A. of Reading, Mrs. Robert (Barbara L.) Coleman of Wakefield, Mary Elaine Shea of Methuen; his brothers, Frank Froton of Lowell and Harold Froton of West Yarmouth; his sisters, Mildred Froton and Irene Chaisen both of Newburyport and Pearl Fuller of Newbury. Many grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Froton was also the father of the late Edward J. "Buddy" Froton and the late David J. Froton both of Ca.
Funeral services were held from the W.S. Cavanaugh & Son Funeral Home, Thursday morning followed by a funeral mass at St. Thomas Church.
