Helen K. Groves passed away peacefully, Saturday, Jan. 14 2017, while being comforted by her nieces, Linda Woolcock, and Barbara DiBartolo, and great-niece Megan DiBartolo. She was escorted to Heaven by many Angels sent by God. Her tears of joy let us know that she was finally with all her loved ones that she has missed for so long. Helen was 106 years old.
Preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Groves; her parents, John and Anna Fetch; six sisters; and one brother; she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Helen went to work for Rosenau Bros. at age 14 to help her family. She started as a stock girl and retired 46 years later as head of Purchasing Department. She was very proud of that.
She moved to Palmyra in 1970, to care for her mother and joined the Bethany Lutheran Church. At the church she made many friends and spent countless hours as a volunteer and helping others. She was especially proud of her service to the church.
For the past 10 years she lived at the Riverview Estates in Riverton. There she was cared for by many wonderful people who will miss her.
Interment will be held privately at the Memorial Garden of Bethany Lutheran Church.
