Jerome Railey "BeBop" Allen, 67, formerly of Hogansville, GA passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Pruitt Healthcare Nursing Home in Greenville, GA.
Mr. Allen was born March 24, 1949 in LaGrange, GA to the late Coleman Allen and Lillian Lorene Railey Allen. He was Baptist by faith and worked for William's Junkyard as a Mechanic for a number of years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Allen and brother-in-law, Tommy L. Bagley.
Survivors include his sisters, Patricia "Sue" A. Gray, Sandra Kay A. (Billy Ray) East, and Stephanie L. Bagley; brothers, Coleman Ray (Shannon) Allen, David Lee (Robin) Allen, William Walter (Deborah) Allen; nieces and nephews, Melissa Gray, Wesley (Katie) Gray, Tequita (Phillip) Laster, Valerie Diane (Jamie) Clary, Christopher B. (Melanie) East, Scotty (Kadie) East, Joseph (Donna) Bagley, Joshua (Pam) Bagley, Tyler Bagley, Jared Bagley, Katlyn Allen, Jerry Patton, Lee Ann (Mike) Sarno, Robert Coleman (Sherrill) Allen, Marical Allen; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2017 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
The family will gather at the home of his sister, Stephanie Bagley, 34 Glenda Dr. LaGrange, GA.
