Sgt 1515448 of 158 Squadron RAF Lissett.
The son of Alexander and Francis Mary Thompson, of Norton, Stockton-on-Tees.
He was killed with the rest of the crew when the Halifax (LW246) in which he was flying lost part of it's wing during a training flight and crashed near Mill Farm, Fordon.
