Edward B. Fields 74, of Bridgeport died Sunday January 22, 2017 at Forest-Hills Retirement Center St. Clairsville. He was born November 2, 1942 in Martins Ferry, a son of Lawrence and Marie (Boyd) Fields.
He was a retired employee of the former Ormet Corporation in Hannibal, and was also employed by McKeen Security. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church Bridgeport, and the USW Local #5724.
Eddy is survived by his Mother Marie Fields of Bridgeport, his loving wife Zoann (Wilkes) Fields, three children, 1 step-child, a brother Lawrence (Debbie) Fields of Indianapolis, Ind. a sister Jody (Phillip) Hunter of Steubenville, an Aunt Freda Benton of Detroit, MI, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Thursday January 26, 2017 from 11am until time of service at 1pm with Rev. Myron Seals and Deacon Sherrod Clark officiating. Full military services will be conducted by the Belmont Count Veterans Association. Interment at Weeks cemetery in Bridgeport, OH at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys, 52174 National Rd. St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
