He married Elizabeth Tarr in 1820 in Cherrytree Twp, Venango County, PA, lived in Oakland Twp, Venango Co, PA. He came to Venango County when he was 10 with his mother, after his father had died. His mother died when he was still young, and he was raised by others. During the War of 1812 he worked for the government, boating ammunition from Pittsburgh to Waterford. He went with surveying teams two summers, then returned to Cherrytree Twp., married and moved to Oakland Twp for the rest of his life. They had 13 kids.

His son, George's DC says he was born in Oakland Twp.

Daniel and Elizabeth are buried on private property that they had owned in Oakland Twp., Venango County, PA. I don't want to create a cemetery for two people buried on private property, but FAG doesn't give me a proper option.
