Rodney "Rod" H. Summers was born June 26, 1947, in Chambersburg, Pa. He was a well-known entertainer in the music industry. He performed and consulted in opening "comedy/sing-along" piano bars all over the country and England.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd E. Summers.
Survivors: His wife of 17 years, Susan J. Summers of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Lara and Randy Perry of Bedford; mother, Lois J. Brechbill of Chambersburg, Pa.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Denny and Yuiko Summers, Tim and Liz Summers and Rick and Leanne Summers, all of Chambersburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janine and Paul Miller of Lititz, Pa., and Tina and Mike Turner of Chambersburg; mother-in-law, Shirley M. Pomeroy of Euless; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen and Donna Pomeroy of Denver, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by family, friends and musicians all over the country.
