Wesley Wade “Bubba” Armstrong, 41, of Hawley, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, January 20, 2017 at Hendricks Medical Center. A celebration of Wesley’s life will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 3:30PM, at Hawley High School gymnasium. The services will be followed by a burial at Hawley Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family of Wesley will be at Piersall Funeral Home, 733 Butternut, Abilene, Texas, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.

Wesley was born November 22, 1975 at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, Texas to Christy Armstrong Adkins and Wade Armstrong. He was a loving, caring and compassionate person who never met a stranger, and always had a smile for everyone he met. He impacted the lives of too many to mention and left such a caring mark on this earth and happy memories in our hearts. Bubba attended and graduated from Hawley I.S.D. Throughout his life he was involved in numerous school events, became a member of the Hawley Volunteer Fire Department and was proud to be a lifelong Bearcat.

Wesley is preceded in death by: Rex Armstrong (Grandpa Rex), Nita Armstrong Carlton (Grandma Nita), L.G. Van-Cleave (Grandaddy), Doris VanCleave (Granny) and Carol Fine (Grandma Carol).

Those left to cherish his memories include: his mother Christy Adkins and stepfather Robby Adkins, father Wade Armstrong and stepmother Maria Armstrong; three sisters: Aleecia Anderson, Nikki Byrd and husband Scott, Shana Quintero and husband Adam; three brothers: Austin Adkins and wife Shalee, Coby Adkins and Eric Tidwell and wife Marcia; nephews and nieces: Mikey, Alyson, Christen, Jake, Kate, Hayden, Avery, Shea, Eric, Dakota, Leighton, Breilin, Colton, Kaylee, Cutter, Emmie and Kameah; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless multitudes of friends who loved him dearly.

Honored Pallbearers include: Jim Newman, Terry Thompson, Keith Porter, Gaite Taylor, Casey Armstrong, Nathan Knight, Josh Winbourn and Will Womack.

Donations may be made in honor of Wesley to the Hawley High School Ag Department.
