Eva was educated in Newry schools.
She had worked for Dr. Greenleaf in Bethel, and later at the New Yorker Motel, as well as taking care of several elderly people in town.
She married Lyman Lane on April 27, 1932; he died Nov. 29, 1974.
She loved to dance, play cards, spend time with family and friends, laugh and make people laugh. She was especially fond of animals. She was an avid gardener and loved to sew, knit and crochet.
She is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Nowlin and Clyde Nowlin, both of Bridgton; three sisters, Lottie Knowles of Dixfield, Florence Morgan of Bethel, and Barbara Casey of Mexico; three granddaughters, Terry Wilson and Shelley Palmer, both of Bethel, and Peggy Acebedo of Nutley, N.J.; eight great-grandchildren, Briana Brown, Brett, Bryan and Brady Wilson, Brandon Palmer, Brian and Shelby Piawlock, all of Bethel, and Steven Acebedo of Nutley, N.J. and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Lyman Lane; daughter and son-in-law, Eunice and Eugene Roy; three brothers, Raymond, John and Carl; and three sisters, Marjorie Nowlin, Rena Powers and Grace Bartlett.
