Mr. Jesse Dewey Magnan, Jr., 79, of Oliver Springs, TN, passed away Saturday, 21 Jan 2017 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.
Mr. Magnan was born 3 Dec 1937, in Hogansville, GA son of the late Jesse Dewey Magnan, Sr. and Overton Johnson Magnan. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering from Georgia Tech in 1962 and retired as an aeronautical engineer from Martin-Marietta in Oak Ridge, TN. A resident of the Oak Ridge area for 45 years, he attended the Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Magnan of Oliver Springs, TN; sons, Jeff Magnan of Oliver Springs, TN, Mark Magnan of Oak Ridge, TN, Paul Magnan of Clinton, TN; and a granddaughter, Samantha Magnan of Oak Ridge, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Magnan.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, 28 Jan 2017 at graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, GA with Pastor Archie Corder officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, 28 Jan 2017.
