Born April 12, 1924, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne Smith Anello.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
Surviving also are five daughters, Elizabeth A. Safford of Kingston, N.Y., Kathleen M. Mooney of Charlestown, W.Va., Lori W. Norman of Tega Bay, S.C., Mary T. Mooney of Silver Spring, Md., and Ellen M. Quinn of Gaithersburg, Md.; five sons, William M. Mooney Jr. of Olney, Md., Gerard M. Mooney of Los Gatos, Calif., Patrick T. Mooney of Nokesville, Va., Christopher J. Mooney of Lincoln University, Pa., and John J. Mooney of Bel Air, Md.; a brother, Francis A. Anello of Virginia Beach, Va.; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Monday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Michael Messaro will celebrate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fairfield.
