Susan E. Massey, 63, of Piper City, IL., died 4:55 A.M., Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Piper City Rehab and Living Center in Piper City. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Brenton Cemetery, Piper City. Memorials may be made to the Kankakee Valley Hospice.
Susan was born in Fairbury, IL., on January 24, 1953 to Marcus H. and Phyllis June (Read) Clark. Her childhood was spent in Piper City. She graduated from Piper City High School in 1971. Susan was married to Gerald Massey on June 2, 1989.
She is survived by her daughter - Heather Clark of Bourbonnais, IL. Grandson - Austin Read Clark. A sister - Linda (Pat) Murphy of Laura, IL., and a brother - Mark (Melba) Clark of Reddick, IL.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, sister - Lisa and brother - Steve.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Piper City. Susan had worked at Henald's in Piper City and then for Equal in Manteno, IL., as a lab technician. She was a pack rat and enjoyed furniture restoration.
