SHELBINA, Mo. — Harold Pete Schwieter, 68, of Clarence and formerly of Shelbina, died 9:05 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 5, 19892) while fishing at the Daniel Boone Lake, north of Clarence. He apparently died from heart failure.
He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Schwieter was born March 1, 1914, in Shelby County, a son of Louis and Anna Stewart Schwieter. On Nov. 25, 1953, he married Josephine Creekmur in Shelbyville. She was killed in an auto accident Dec. 7, 1981. On June 14, 1982, he married Ruby Roberts, and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Gary Schwieter, of Las Vegas, Nev., a brother, Shelby Schwieter of Shelbina, and three grandchildren.
He was a member of the Shelbina Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Greening-Eagan Funeral Home in Shelbina, with the Rev. Robert Compere conducting. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence.
