Peggy Rebecca Morris, 69, of Rome, died Thursday, September 8, 2016. Funeral is Sunday, 2pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Burial will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, 10 am Monday September 12, 2016. Peggy retired from Lockheed in 2007 after many years as a Parts Procurement Manager. Mrs. Morris loved the outdoors, she and Sammy would go mudding, or jump in the RV and find a spot to camp to enjoy God’s creation. She also loved to shop, especially for her family. Peggy was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Cartersville. Survivors include her husband Sammy Morris, sons – Keith England, Mark England, Jason England, Richie Morris, and Steve Morris, daughters – Michelle Goff, and Cindy White, brother – Robert “Bob” D. Harris. Peggy is also survived by her grandchildren – Kayla Stephens, Sean England, Andrea England, Austin Goff, and Chandler England, great grandchildren – Kenley Stephens, and Bexley England. The family is receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675 or woundedwarriorproject.org, as well as to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
