Howard W. Hamilton, 86, of Reading, passed away January 20, 2017, at 9:25 a.m. in his residence.

He was the loving husband of Doris M. "Dottie" (Hain) Hamilton. They celebrated 63 years of marriage together. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Charles R. and Violet (McDonough) Hamilton.

Howard served in the US Navy during the Korean War.

He worked as a stone setter for P.F. Eisenbrown and as a mechanic for Standard Auto Body before retiring.

He was a member St. Mark's UCC, Reading, Reading Lodge No. 549 F & AM, AASR Valley of Reading, Rajah Shriners, Ivy Leaf Assn. and the former Hunter Liggett Post # 63 VFW.

He loved trains and traveling with his wife.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Rev. Walton R. Horn will officiate. Interment with full military honors in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading. Viewing Wednesday from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
