He is survived by his wife Paula Clay of the home; three daughters, Shawna Ann and Jonathan Clark of Johnson City, TN, Holly Armanda and Daniel Clay-Buck of Tulsa, OK and Jaclyn Dean and Wes Carry of Keota, OK; one sister Judith Ann Clay of Stigler, OK; one brother Tony Clay of Salem, SC; 6 grandchildren: Alei, Jordan, Tanner, Ava, Ivy, and Gibson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and many honorary daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents G.A. and Irene (Holland) Clay and one sister, Isla Rhae Clay. Mr. Clay was a member of the Stigler Masonic Lodge #121, Eastern Star #16, and was a member of the First Methodist Church in Stigler. David worked as a furniture designer at Rosewood Industry.
A Celebration of Life Service was held January 24, 2017 at First Methodist Church with Rev. Don McAlvain officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Billy Cox, James Love, Sam Box, Mark McCurry, and his Masonic brothers around the world.
