Barbara and Joe moved to Metuchen, NJ and later resided in Mountain Lakes, NJ for many years before retiring to Nokomis, FL. Barbara was an avid reader, golfer and bridge player and enjoyed many creative crafts and volunteer activities. She was a knowledgeable sports fan, participated in many alumni and family reunion events and enjoyed watching the horses at Saratoga racetrack. Every summer Barbara and Joe enjoyed the tranquility of Babcock Lake in Petersburg, NY where she and Joe met. They had a lifetime of friends, family and memories in the cottage her father helped build.
Barbara is preceded in death by husband John J. Hayden Jr. Barbara is survived by her daughter Kathleen Anne Morrison Kennedy of Jacksonville Beach, FL and son Michael Joseph Hayden of Ossining, NY and grandchildren John Morrison of Lake Hiawatha, NJ and Sarah Morrison Buford of Fort Riley, KS as well as great grandchildren Daniel and Drew. She is also survived by her sister Betsy Bingham Guertin of Metuchen, NJ and brother Edward Bingham of Herkimer, NY. A memorial service will be scheduled for summer 2017 in Saratoga, NY where she will rest with her husband Joe at Saratoga National Cemetery.
