Carolyn "Sue" Metcalf , 73, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, formerly of Marion, Illinois, passed away at 7:44 pm Friday, January 20, 2017, in SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. Sue was born March 12, 1943 in Marion, Illinois to Leon Hodge and Ella (Howard) Brewer.
She first married Raymond Jack Hannebique and they had four children; Raymond, Michelle, Danielle and Amy. She later married Robert Metcalf in March 1983 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with 34 years of marriage.
She was manager of Anchor Garden and Rental Center, and previously office manager of Mount Vernon Medical Arts Clinic. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading, travel and decorating.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Ray Hannebique and wife Taletha Kay of Kent, Ohio, Michelle Page and husband Justin of Mount Vernon, Danielle (Nellie) Hannebique of Missouri, Amy Jones and husband Brian of Mount Vernon and step-son Scott Metcalf and wife Clare of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Ryan Wellmaker, Madison Wellmaker, Zoe Wellmaker, Jake Page, Tyle Hannebique, Sydney Hannebique, Heath Hannebique, Michael Hannebique, Morgan Jones, Ben Jones, Allyson Jones; brother Jerry Hodge and wife Dionne of Pennsylvania. Sue was preceded in death by her parents,; sister Joanne Hodge and brother Stevie Hodge.
